Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ing. Filip Pastorek, PhD.<\/strong> completed his doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Branislav Hadzima at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of \u017dilina in 2014. During his doctoral studies, he spent a research stay at the Clausthal University of Technology (Germany). After completing his doctorate, he worked in an international company specialising in corrosion protection and surface treatment techniques for metals as a production manager and corrosion specialist. From 2016, he worked at the Research centre UNIZA as a researcher for 5 years. In April 2021, he became a director of this institution. In 2019, he received the scientific qualification grade \u201cIIa\u201d from the SAV Commission for Assessment of Scientific Qualification. His scientific contributions were honoured with the Science and Technology Award for 2020 in the category of Personality of Science and Technology under 35 years of age, awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His current research activities focus on the corrosion and surface treatment of metallic materials, in particular magnesium alloys for industrial and biomedical applications, in active collaboration with renowned universities in Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
