We are so happy! On June 3, 2026, at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava, Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic, appointed 30 new university professors, including two of our colleagues from the UNIZA Research Center. The following received the title of professor in the field of automation: prof. Ing. Gabriel Gašpar, PhD. and prof. Ing. Juraj Ďuďák, PhD., both of whom work in the Department of Sensory Systems.
Both have long been involved in the design, testing, and integration of sensors and embedded systems for industrial and biomedical applications, as well as solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0. Their work bridges cutting-edge research with real-world implementation, in keeping with the mission of the Research Center UNIZA.
The title of professor is one of the highest honors in academic and scientific work, and it also carries with it a responsibility to advance science and educate future generations of experts.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both colleagues and wish them plenty of energy, successful projects, and inspiring ideas for their future research!
