The laboratory is aimed at evaluation of chemical composition of fuels used as heat sources as well as for analyzing the final combustion products.
To evaluate the chemical composition, the laboratory is equipped with a Signle quadrupole gas chromatograph – mass spectrometer Shimadzu GCMS QP2010PLUS, ion chromatograph Thermo Dionex Aquion and UV/VIS spectrometer Thermo Scientific Orion AquaMate 8000.
The laboratory is also equipped with Thermo Scientific Barnstead GenPurea device for making ultra-pure water. This ultra-pure water can reach value of electrical resistance of 18.2 MΩ and it is used for chemical analysis sample preparation.
