Head of laboratory: Ing. Nikola Čajová Kantová, PhD.
Room: VC 1.19
The laboratory is focused on the analysis of the chemical composition of solid fuels and particulate matter produced during combustion in small heat sources.
It is equipped with two elemental analyzers: Thermo Scientific FLASH 2000 CHNS/O and LECO CHN628. For the determination of moisture content, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and ash in samples, the laboratory is fitted with a thermogravimetric analyzer LECO TGA 701. The detection of inorganic compounds in solid fuels and particulate matter can be performed using an energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer ARL QuantX. The laboratory is also equipped with a device enabling to study the deformation process of ashes from coal, coke and biomass LECO AF700.
The laboratory was established as part of the project 09I03-03-V04-00529.
