The laboratory is aimed for creation of surface conversion layers on magnesium alloys with the Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation method. The process is performed on unique device designed and manufactured directly at the Research centre UNIZA.
For the non-destructive evaluation of chemical composition of structural materials and created conversion layers, the laboratory is equipped with Energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometer Thermo ARL QuantX.
